Many Cambodian unhappy with the name of event " Thai Fight Cambodia"

This few day, many Cambodian facebook users are talking about the big fighting event called " Thai Fight Cambodia " that will hosted by Thailand at Koh Pich, Cambodia on August 16, 2014. Many people want to see but many of them also complain about the name of event.

They wonder why the boxing is in Cambodia but the name is " Thai Fight"? it should be " Khmer Fight" ..... some of them suggest to rename to " Cambodia Thai fight" and They cannot accept the name " Thai Fight Cambodia".

Mr. Tem Moeun , the chief of Cambodian Boxing Federation (CBF) confirmed that the event " Thai Fight Cambodia" is cooperation between CBF and Thai Fight and it will be hosted at Koh Pich on August 16, 2014 but many things are not yet discussed including Name of event, constitutions, the award of fighting, the sponsor of fighters ...... we planed to discuss with Thai side on July 21, 2014, He said.

"Thai Fight Cambodia" is just a name put by Thai Side and our side not yet agree. The complain is right. We need to put name of event as an international standard one like " AEC Fighting" which already many supports. He added.

This big fight event will be live by 2 Channels. We can watch on TV5 and Bayon TV.

      It is bad thing of Khmer-Thai boxing. Every side claim for the owner of that kind of kick fighting. Hope they can negotiate and let this event happen.
